Climb (or Descend) the Spanish Steps

Like me, you might think it’s curious that one of Rome’s most iconic sites is called the Spanish Steps, but there’s no denying that it’s a beautiful staircase in the heart of the city’s cultural centre

Gastronomy

Italy’s food is much more than just pizza and pasta!

Brilliant Italy draws food lovers keen on eating her gastronomic delights. With such a rich culinary culture, which is much more than pizza and spaghetti, this fantastic Mediterranean land presents myriad of specialities and mouthwatering foods.

With each Italian area having its own traditional must-eat dishes, the culinary options offered through the country are literally uncountable! In Northern Italy, you will taste the freshest fish and seafood, in Central Italy delicious recipes with locally produced tomatoes and pecorino cheese, while Southern Italy's local dishes are based mainly on dried pasta, local cheeses and vegetable-based soups.

Why Italy?

Italy has been one of the most popular travel destinations for tourists from the world over. Culture, beauty, food, history, this small European country has it all and the reasons to visit Italy are endless.

Italian food is definitely one of the reasons to visit Italy. Here too, region after region you will discover new flavours, recipes, ingredients, cheese, like Pecorino or Fossa cheese, bread, sauces and much more.

You need to visit Italy at least once in your life just because it’s a must-see destination. Not to brag about it, but with so much art, history and beauty, Italy has been a favourite destination for years.

La Dolce Vita It's no surprise that La Dolce Vita is an Italian phrase. After all, it's an Italian idea! Italians claim to have mastered the art of living by perfecting an ideal mixture of food, family, and famous good humor.

To know

Italy is one of the most beautiful countries to visit in Europe, nay, the world! My love for this country goes almost as deep as my love of chocolate.
If you want to travel between cities, try taking the train! Italy has an impressive high speed railway between the likes of Rome-Florence-Venice (to mention but a few).
The north and south of Italy are almost like different countries! The north is an ‘industrialised’, continental European region, whilst the south has a much more laid-back mediterranean feel – both are great and very different!
Summer in Italy can be very hot with bracingly cold winters, – especially in the north. Seems obvious, but there is quite an extreme in Italian temperatures depending on the date you plan to visit so it’s worth arriving adequately prepared.
